So what do I know about FEAR and how can I help you?
Well, first let me share with you a little bit about my myself…
I was born in Tasmania on September 18th to the stereo- typical middle child of a business owner by day and musician by night dad and a stay-at-home mum. At the young and tender age of 18 I began a career in the banking industry. From the mid 70’s to 80’s, I put my career on hold so I could devote myself to raising a young family.
In the 80’s I was faced with a devastating and painful challenge – I lost my beautiful 5 month old daughter to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). As you can imagine, that type of tragedy can easily paralyze a person. After I grieved the loss of my daughter, I made the decision to devote a large portion of my time to creating a greater awareness, education and support for SIDS families within Tasmania.
Inadvertently, during this phase of my life was when I began pursuing my dreams to break through stereotypes and become a success.
Through tragedy I found my passion to be a Coach and to Counsel others towards living a happy and successful life. Hence, I ventured back to University as a mature age student to gain formal qualifications.
- In the mid-1980’s I began successfully managing businesses with a turnover of up to 2 million dollars.
- In 2000 I was a finalist in the Telstra Business Woman awards and again found the element of coaching women to be an avid passion.
- In late 2005, I moved with my husband and grown up family to Queensland in search of warmer weather and new challenges.
- In April 2006, I started a Recruitment, Training and Coaching company (Jigsaw Consulting Group) from my lounge room. Since I was new to Queensland, I had to build my contacts from the ground up.
- In 2007 my business was moved from my home to premises in Kelvin Grove Queensland and new staff was recruited.
My Consulting Business has grown from $0 to $850,000 turnover per annum in under 3 years and is still growing!
I hold a post graduate qualification in counseling; I am a qualified NLP coach and an accredited trainer. I am also a member of the Australian Institute of Management.
I now work with corporate organisations and individuals empowering them to bring out the best in themselves and their teams in all areas of life – career, relationships, lifestyle and wealth creation.
My mantra is: “Do not think of a painful experience as a dark time in your life. You will emerge out of these times learning valuable lessons to become a stronger person”.

Self-sabotaging behaviors; at last these demons that I have suffered from for more years than I like to remember have been exposed!

This behavior manifested in two ways, the first was that I was (and am) incredibly hard on myself at all times and in all circumstances – personal and professional. And the second way it manifested is still with me. As soon as I feel confident and secure I reach out and look for another challenge, another risk and I guess another way to prove to my “Imposter” that they are wrong.
This is draining and it is only now, thanks to Sally’s guidance and her wisdom, that I am learning to recognise this pattern when it appears. I am also learning to recognise and accept that I do not have to be controlled by this fear making me doubt the truth of who I am and what I am capable of.
